Better late than never, a what’s new quickie

I have been a pretty lousy mamatographer this week and an even worse blogger, but I have my reasons. My parents came to visit us all the way from Colorado. It had been nearly two years since I saw them last, so a visit was definitely in order for everyone. Annabelle picked up right where she left off with them, and I’ve been enjoying having people to beat at Scrabble after she goes to bed ;)

There is so much I want to say about Annabelle and Elliot, but if I wait until I have time to put it all into words, I’ll never get this week’s photos up. Very briefly, Elliot graced us with his first social smiles and seems to have gained near complete head control. Annabelle has been outrageously fun to be around – an enthusiastic and funny conversationalist.

Our visitors head home tomorrow, so I’ll be back next week, but for now, the photos:

Papa and Grandma meet Elliot

Exactly a month old, sleeping in the ring sling

These dinosaur rain boots have been Annabelle’s preferred footwear

This may not be a spectacular photo, but it captures one of his sweet smiles.

Annabelle has been enjoying Grandma’s crochet needles and yarn.

How lovely to see how well you are all getting on. Annabelle’s wellies are so cool and I love Elliot’s smile. I met my new niece today, she is three weeks old and very gorgeous too. I just love this snuggly age. Two year olds rock too! Enjoy your lovely babes and don’t worry about posting. We are all just happy to get a glimpse now and again so we know you are ok.
