What’s New? Just About Everything!

image

Eating breakfast. somewhere other than a hotel or restaurant!

I blink my eyes, and yet another week has passed! We said our final goodbyes to Guam on Friday morning and boarded a plane for the mainland feeling some mixture of excitement, sadness, and for the flight itself perhaps even a bit of dread. Aside from some delays on our final leg, everything went remarkably well and we arrived in DC some thirty hours later.

We’re still waiting for our home internet to be set up, so I’m posting from my phone and will therefore keep the full update and my Mamatography photos for later in the week, but I wanted to say hello and leave the linky for those of you who aren’t in limbo. More to come!

Thanks, Anna. I do think we’ve made it past the really tough stuff and I’m glad for that!

    Welcome home!

I’m very curious to hear when your new home really does start to feel like home. D.C. (which I know well) must be very different from Guam (which I don’t know at all).

Thank you, Rachael. It’s definitely very, very different! I hope you’ll let me know next time you come this way.

It is funny but I used to think you were 8 hours or so ahead of us and now I will have to start feeling you are 6 hours behind… The feeling of time always amazes me. Sorry for these random thoughts. I wish you all the best in your new home!!!

Thanks, Laura! The time difference really is strange. I had gotten so used to being a day ahead of all our friends and family here on the mainland, and now I have to readjust. Always throws me for a loop!

Glad to hear you made it safely! Every time I miss seeing Annabelle’s latest pictures it seems like she grown a lot from the last picture. I absolutely adore her hair. Thank you for sharing.
