Joy Pockets #13

It’s the weekend, and time for my favorite blogging tradition: listing some of the things that brought me joy this week. Many thanks to Monica from Holistic Mama for hosting each week.

Cilantro, tomatoes, and chard. A small start, but it's a start!

Making a meal with my garden’s first real bounty. I can’t explain how giddy it made me to see that I really can grow my own food.

Sharing our family’s joy with the rest of our community.

Giving myself permission to rest.

The way Annabelle now points to every evergreen and shouts: “Christmas tree!”

The promise of good things in the lives of both of my sisters.

Visits to the library and Annabelle’s love of books.

Getting our family pictures back, and loving them!

Photo Credit: Larissa Gomez Photography. How lucky are we that she happened to be on Guam?

The beautiful rainstorms we’ve been having around here.

Finding the energy to actually get creative with dinners again.

A night out with the husband.

Your turn! What brought joy to your house this week?

Oh my gosh, that picture of Annabelle is so gorgeous!! Red is really her color, isn’t it?
Love your harvest!! I can’t wait to start our garden again in a couple of months.

Thanks, Teresa! The garden really helps me to embrace this season here when I would otherwise be focused on the lack of snow. There are definitely benefits to being so close to the equator!
